SK Telecom builds my data cloud with SC First Bank for the first time in the first financial sector

SK Telecom (CEO Park Jeong-ho) announced on the 16th that it will be the first to build a My Data Cloud in the first financial sector in cooperation with SC First Bank (CEO Park Jong-bok).

In early February, the two companies signed a contract for a cloud construction project exclusively for Mitator, and they plan to build a repository that can store the my data, personal asset management data, and solution analysis result data in the SC Cheil Bank cloud.

SKT builds the cloud in Microsoft Azure through collaboration with Bespin Global, the industry’s best cloud consulting partner, and Microsoft (hereinafter referred to as Microsoft), a cloud service partner, and provides My Data service at the end of July. I plan to open it.

SKT plans to build △cloud infrastructure △mydata analysis system △mydata API data lake, etc. so that SC First Bank can provide innovative services through efficient collection and analysis of personal information.

In addition, by supporting SC First Bank to comply with cloud compliance in a cloud environment and upgrading mobile banking (open at the end of October), customers using My Data Cloud actively manage their own information, and credit management, asset management, etc. It said that various services are available.

In particular, SKT is planning to solidify its position in the domestic cloud industry by taking the opportunity to build a my data cloud for the first financial sector.

Starting from this project, SKT announced that it plans to actively collaborate with financial sector partners including SC Cheil Bank, as well as expand the 5GX MEC (Mobile Edge Cloud) ecosystem.

SKT is collaborating with global cloud service providers, Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Microsoft, based on world-class MEC network technology.

In addition, in cooperation with the industry’s best cloud consulting company’Bespin Global’, it is providing integrated services from the introduction of multi-hybrid clouds to the operation stage. Bespin Global is the only cloud company in Asia that has been recognized worldwide for its technological prowess, such as being listed in the’Leader’ group by the Gartner Magic Quadrant.

Meanwhile, in December 2020, SKT received great attention by commercializing the 5G edge cloud service with AWS for the first time in Korea. In October 2020, various cloud intelligent services are continuously launched, such as the launch of an AI-based’cloud anomaly cost detection solution (next-generation CMPCloud Management Platform)’ with Bespin Global.

From 2021, SKT plans to fully promote six cloud businesses, including the AI ​​Contact Center (AICC) and cloud SaaS business, and leap to become an innovation partner for companies through the combination of 5G and cloud.
