Jiktalk introduced blockchain-based’social mining’ function
On the 8th, ZIKTALK (CEO, Beomseok Shim) announced on the 8th that it will introduce a new social mining-based Jiktalk that applies game elements of participation and rewards.
Jiktalk is a new blockchain social network service that combines a participatory blockchain service called’Social Mining’ with an existing service that enables social network service (SNS) between people teaching and learning foreign languages and conversations (calls and text messages) with native speakers.
Jiktalk’s social mining is a program that allows users to receive rewards for social activities in the Jiktalk app, and is designed as a system that anyone can easily receive rewards by simply using a mobile app like a game.
When a user receives a’Like’ or’Follow’ from another user or receives a voice or video call within the direct talk, they are rewarded with ZIK (direct) tokens, which are blockchain-based points. In addition, all users who sign up for Jiktalk will receive ZIK tokens for free, and even invite friends to receive referral bonuses.
For example, when John uploads a funny photo to his social feed, and Jane clicks’Like’ on the post, Jane’s 1 ZIK is delivered to John. Now when John clicks the’Follow’ button to make friends with Jane, John’s 3 ZIK is transferred to Jane. As such, ZIK plays a role as a means of exchanging values that users can exchange with each other in the Jiktalk ecosystem.
JikTok also introduced a halving system in which rewards are halved every time the number of users doubles. Until the number of users reaches 1 million, the membership subscription social mining reward is 500 ZIK, but if the direct talk secures 2 million users, the user will receive 250 ZIK as a reward.
ZIK obtained by users through social mining can be converted into cash on cryptocurrency exchanges. Currently, ZIK tokens can be exchanged for KRW or USDT on ProBit Exchange, and for USDT on BW.com.
Jiktalk plans to accelerate its targeting overseas markets starting with Indonesia based on the newly introduced service.
To this end, Jiktalk recently hired Han Yura, an Indonesian representative Korean YouTuber, as CCO (Chief Content Officer). Han Yura is a famous YouTuber with 1.06 million subscribers and has been working as an exclusive model for Telkom Cell-Loop, an Indonesian state-run telecommunications company in 2017, and as a domestic ambassador for Batik, an Indonesian traditional dress, since last year.
Beom-seok Shim, CEO of Jiktalk, said, “The innovation of blockchain is the exchange of value between people and people. Jiktalk is a global knowledge trading platform that allows people to share and communicate various knowledge, including foreign languages, with people around the world and receive appropriate compensation. The goal is to become this.
Meanwhile, Jiktalk currently has 100,000 global users, and about 4,000 tutors are active in Jiktalk.
