Cyworld Jet announced that it will resume Cyworld service during this month. Cyworld Jet also plans to issue virtual assets.
According to the industry on the 3rd, Cyworld Z, a joint venture of five companies including Sky ENM, acquired the right to operate the service from Cyworld CEO Je-wan Jeon at the end of last month. Cyworld Z announced that it will normalize Cyworld as early as next month and start a pilot service of’Cyworld Mobile 3.0′ in the first half of the year.
‘Acorn’, which was used as a currency on Cyworld, for purchasing avatars and music sources, is also reported to be revived in a different form. Cyworld Z CEO Jong-won Oh said, “We plan to list virtual currency, and the name’Dotori’ cannot be used as it is from SK Communications, and we will disclose the coin name as we announce the listing.”
Cyworld Z plans to issue virtual assets with the restart of Cyworld service. The name of the virtual asset is unknown. How to use virtual assets within the platform has not yet been specified.
According to what is known so far, Cyworld’s virtual assets are issued based on Ethereum and are expected to serve as the key currency within the platform. It is also known that there are plans to be listed on major virtual asset exchanges.
